Executive Team Member Spotlight — Jon Cohen

Name:         Jon Cohen

Title:             Senior Director, Production   

Jon has more than 25 years of print production experience and joined the Fuse family in April 2024. After graduating from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) with a BS in Printing, Jon spent years working at agencies and throughout the printing industry. He now leads our amazing production team!

Jon loves a challenge, and one of his favorite projects is taking an idea and seeing it through to a final, tangible product that meets or exceeds quality, cost, and timing expectations. In addition to being our fearless leader in production, Jon is also our resident golf pro!

Getting to Know Jon:

1. Q: How do you like to spend your free time away from the wonderful world of direct response?
A: Golf, traveling with my amazing wife, playing with our crazy mutt, Jax, reading biographies, cooking, and watching documentaries … just about anything related to sports on TV.

2. Q: Tell us about a favorite campaign that you’ve worked on.
A: League of Women Voters wanted to mail a political yard sign with a sign holder, but we couldn’t find a sign holder domestically that could be mailed economically. I found an international vendor who produced a sign holder that could be disassembled to fit in a tube. We then printed the yard sign and rolled them, along with a letter and reply envelope, into a cardboard tube and mailed them under budget.

3. Q: What do you think is in store for our industry in the future?
A: I think direct mail is going to remain an integral part of nonprofit fundraising for the foreseeable future. You can’t argue with the results, and it’s really encouraging that younger people are embracing traditional direct mail. 

4. Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
A: Drive a golf ball 300+ yards

5. Q: What was your dream job as a child?
A: 3rd Baseman for the New York Yankees

6.     Q: If you had to choose a different career path, what would it be?
A: Probably an attorney like my Dad, Uncle, (3) first cousins and nephew

A: Thunderstruck – AC/DC
