Paid Media Strategist

As the Paid Media Strategist at Fuse, you will play a key role in leading the tactical planning, execution, and performance optimization of paid digital media campaigns across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in media buying, data analysis, and digital optimization across search, social, programmatic, and other emerging channels.

This position is best suited for a performance-driven media professional with 5+ years of hands-on experience in paid media strategy and execution.  Experience in nonprofit fundraising is preferred though not required. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement integrated digital strategies to support fundraising goals across email, paid social (Meta), paid search (Google and Microsoft Ads), and programmatic/display channels.

  • Create and manage digital campaign briefs, calendars, and test plans that support continuous learning and improvement.

  • Oversee email marketing efforts from strategy and segmentation to testing, deployment, and analysis.

  • Manage and optimize paid media campaigns, including keyword research, ad copy development, creative coordination, and in-platform performance monitoring.

  • Track budgets across channels and ensure campaigns are pacing properly and meeting performance benchmarks (CTR, CPA, ROAS, conversion rate, etc.).

  • Analyze campaign performance across platforms such as Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, and Looker Studio to provide insights and optimization recommendations.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure digital strategies align with broader client objectives and timelines.

  • Participate in client meetings to present digital strategy, campaign results, and strategic recommendations.

  • Stay current on platform updates, digital fundraising innovations, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in digital marketing or digital fundraising, with a strong grasp of paid and owned channel management.

  • Hands-on experience with Google Ads (Search, Display, and Grants), Meta Business Suite (Facebook/Instagram), and email marketing platforms.

  • Familiarity with digital campaign analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio).

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities at once.

  • Analytical thinker with attention to detail and a solutions-focused approach.

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, mission-driven environment and communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients.

Preferred Skills (or Growth Opportunities in This Role):

  • Google Ads & Google Analytics certifications

  • Experience with email and SMS fundraising platforms

  • Familiarity with Asana or similar project management tools

  • Experience managing media for Giving Tuesday, EOY, or emergency response campaigns

  • Experience with conversion tracking and pixel setup
